School of Technology and Applied Sciences (STAS), Edappally was established in the year 1993, by the Mahatma Gandhi University. At present, the institution is under the direct administrative control of Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS), a Government controlled society, headed by the Honourable Higher Education Minister. STAS has three regional centres, at Kottayam, Kochi and Pathanamthitta.
School of Technology and Applied Sciences , Edappally, Kochi, was established in the year 1993 under the direct administration of Mahatma Gandhi University , to cater to the Technological needs of Kerala. The college offers graduate and post graduate degree courses in Computer Science and Electronics.
It boasts of a sound infrastructure with well-equipped Laboratories and Library, all with ample facilities, not only to meet the demands of the annually updated syllabus but also to quench the thirst of the zealous explorer .The Institution has its full-fledged campus located in Edappally near to Changampuzha park Metro station, which is about 5kms from Ernakulum en-route to Aluva

Aim is to provide opportunity to acquire higher education in Kerala for students who have completed their senior secondary education by bridging the shortage of seats available in Kerala Government institutions. Our graduates have paved the way for the foundational aspects of Computer and Electronics Industry Technologies, initiating new projects and creating job opportunities.

The Department of Computer Science was established in 1993 when the institution came into being. The computer science department offers programmes in BSc computer science, BCA, MSc computer science, and MCA. We nurture emerging questers with quality learning, teaching, and research.Courses in Cyber Forensics were introduced in the year 2012 under the Department of Computer Science. The institution pioneered the course in cyber forensics in Kerala. BSc cyber forensics and MSc cyber forensics are the courses offered here.
CoursesThe Department of Electronics was established in the year 1993 and offers programmes in Bsc Applied Electronics and Msc Applied Electronics. The department promotes a regular comportment of seminars and workshops.
Courses
